Teen Week 7: Installation Art & Photography- Time Lapse & Pinhole

Installation Art

Students will turn a room into art. They will explore the artist's relationship to installation art by examining different ways of installing sculpture beyond the traditional pedestal to the impermanent natural/environmental, sight-specific installations that are room transforming installations. Students will experiment with each of these installation styles while considering sculpture and the artist's relationship to space.

Digital Photography and Media

Students will be introduced to the basics of digital photography animation and video media. Learn how to operate a basic digital camera, the basics of drone photography, and how to transfer the photos or videos to a Mac computer for organization and editing. Experimentation, composition, lighting, and subject matter will be discussed throughout the course.

Pinhole Photography will teach you everything you need to know about making and using your own DIY pinhole camera with basic materials and construction.

Time Lapse Photography is capturing and editing movement photo stills and putting them in motion Student will be exposed to several techniques regarding the capture and editing of time lapse video.

Students must bring their own thumb drive to all photography & media workshops.
