Celebrating Pattern

Celebrating Pattern

Instructors: Jan Beaney & Jean Littlejohn

Colors, patterns, and textures of artifacts and textiles from other cultures can be stunning. We are surrounded by wonderful patterns in our everyday life. These can be exciting starting points for creating unique decorative textiles. Appliquéing, embellishing, and hand and machine embroidering will be suggested through structured challenges. The aim is to make a collection of original fabrics, useful  for future projects.

Jan Beany &  Jean Littlejohn are  internationally- known textile artists and teachers who have exhibited and sold their work world-wide. They formed Double Trouble Enterprises to promote interest in stitched textiles, embroidery, and design through their books and  DVDs.
